For the past year I have been pushing the development of the VERDACOMB story, a graphic novel I have been writing since before I graduated college. Currently I am forming the chapters and planning a release schedule, while scripts are finalized and drawing moves forward. I plan on debuting VERDACOMB as a webcomic, with short animations expanding the world. I could have published the first chapter several months ago if I rushed into things, yet I have taken the patient route and have been revising to strengthen the overall direction and pace of the story.

For the past few months I have been living in Portland OR working for the lead singer of The Dandy Warhols, animating a trailer for his new graphic novel called ONE MODEL NATION.

It's been a while since I posted anything here. I graduated from SCAD at the beginning of the summer and travelled a lot. Went to NYC for the PIXAR Master Class, a two day lecture with the Head of Story Department and an animator. Then I flew out to Portland to search for apartments. The singer of The Dandy Warhols hired me to animate his graphic novel ONE MODEL NATION into a film for a year or so. We met a couple years ago and he let me use one of his songs in my senior film, the trailer for VERDACOMB. So the cartoon actually got me employment. I'm really happy with my apartment and the location I'm living in. I hope everyone in the NG Community is doing well. Hopefully one day soon I'll be able to deliver a funny flash to you guys. Till then here are some shots of progress on layers for the graphic novel's trailer I'm working on.

Hey everyone. Today I finished my Senior Animation Film. It's an animated teaser trailer for a graphic novel I've been working on for a while called VERDACOMB. I plan on beginning production on the script and drawings once I graduate, but for now I've uploaded the animation to the internet. The video I have uploaded to NG is a little lower quality because the way I exported the movie forced me to re-export through flash with an FLV and a higher quality put me at 32 or so mb. Hey fellow world wide web enthusiasts. Last night I colored the final shot of my Senior Animation film for my last class at Savannah College of Art and Design. My film is a two minute animated teaser trailer for an upcoming graphic novel called VERDACOMB, which I have been developing for nearly two years. Once I graduate I will begin writing scripts and drawing the novel while potentially finding work in Atlanta. More to come soon. The teaser itself will be uploaded on Newgrounds at some point this month.

Last Friday was the Savannah College of Art and Design Job Fair, where I displayed my Demo Reel to several businesses on the new iPad2. My parents bought it for my graduation present, and it is totally awesome. Highly recommend. It gives the user a necessary advantage in regards to professional presentation. I met with executives from Archer on FX, Imaginary Forces, JibJab, Big Star, and Radical Axis, who animate and distribute Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Squidbillies. Very excited about the prospects and can't wait for responses.

This is my senior project, this quarter I am animating the line work and then my final quarter I will be coloring and shading.

The project serves also as a teaser for my graphic novel. I've gone through a lot of story development recently and have predicted 5 books total.

The Dandy Warhols lead singer has given me personal permission to use one of his songs, Ride, in my project as well. Very excited about that.
