For the next two weeks I'm going to try to complete a suitable conclusion for the first part of TOFUZILLA REANIMATED. The next two quarters will be dominated by VERDACOMB, both the novel and the animated trailer. I want to show everyone what I've been up to all year, since I only have one cartoon uploaded for 2010.

Peace!

MAJOR VERDACOMB story developments last night while I was contemplating the storyboards for my senior project and problem solving some situational necessites. The story is fleshing out very delicately and erupting from my brain, I'm peaking with creativity today- I feel great, had some coffee and a danish. Even though I haven't slept at all. More Soon.

Storyboards all over my floor.

VERDACOMB Theatrical Trailer Storyboards

Posted by danomano65 - October 19th, 2010

I've been doing a lot of story development for VERDACOMB recently, since I am in a Concept Development class for my senior project at SCAD.

I'm producing an animated theatrical trailer for the graphic novel, which has led to a better understanding of the story as a whole and the realization of who the main character is, as well as the story arch and twists.

I spent the entire summer animating prequel sequences for the new reanimation of TOFUZILLA, which will have a new scene that leads into the reimagining of TOFU 1, 2, and 3, and finally the first film will end with a battle I storyboarded for TOFU4; all of which will be more intense and amplified than ever before. I'm very excited about the possibility of the relationship between the two stories and their impact on my future career. Fairly soon I will graduate in May and have considered moving to Atlanta to obtain an internship/job at Adult Swim. This could be an advantageous jumping off point for any career opportunities afterward. All I know is one day FUNGUY Productions may be a reality and TOFU, as well as VERDACOMB, would be distributed through any means possible. Most likely a booth at Comic Con in 2013 or 2015. I believe I could have substantial content by these dates.

Also. The Force Unleashed II looks awesome.
Cheers.

The animation is coming along. I am now animating everyday sometimes into the 6 - 10 am range. Sometimes I stay up two days in a row. And sleep until 10 pm. Then stay up till 4 pm and sleep until 8 am. Then get on a some what regular sleep schedule. Until that cycle happens all over again. All the while my friend Kris killing the shit out of people on COD in the other room. I take breaks from inbetweening frames of animation. The gamertag is thedoodabidez. If you wanna face us. We've gotten that shit up to 70 and have upgraded everything. Screw prestige. I like my laser scopes, thanks.

Here's some art.

TOFUZILLA Art Work

Posted by danomano65 - June 9th, 2010

I am living in Savannah, GA. My summer class has been canceled. And I have been fired from my stupid job at this art supply store down the street. It seems I have only one choice. I am going to animate the new reanimated TOFUZILLA ALL SUMMER LONG. I had that job during last quarter and was swamped by continuous homework and shifts behind a register, my dyslexia setting in, reading numbers backwards and screwing up the cash register and customer's purchases.. maybe I was fired for a good reason. That reason is to begin the most complex and longest project I've ever attempted. I've been preparing for this over the past year, from the first TOFU cartoon I produced last spring. I made three of them consecutively in a period of two months before summer began. Ever since then I have been developing the story through visualized boards and time-line mapping. The story is the important part to me. I have dedicated a lot of time to the sequence of events that are TOFU, and I believe that when these films are done a new opportunity will be produced, perhaps a series for Adult Swim one day, if I find the right connections.

Right now I am reproducing the first three, which are now simply previsualizations, animatics for the final film. The first will be titled TOFUZILLA, and will begin with the events before TOFU 1-3 and tell the story linearly according to the experience of the protagonist. The first film will end with the awaited battle that was about to take place at the end of TOFU3.

Below is a still from the opening of the new movie, which will be approximately 15 minutes long, and the first of three. The final film will be all three of the movies combined and sold perhaps on DVD or released in a festival of some sort. Who knows. Right now it is one frame at a time. 24 frames per second..
