Been really busy. I'm a senior in college now. Finally. After transferring and remaining a Junior for an extra year or so..

I make these storyboards whenever I can. I want everything to be prepared for the animation. I have already had to make adjustments in previous frames so I'm glad I didn't start yet. Here is an expanded version of what I posted earlier last month. Things are turning out pretty well. It's going to be epic in motion.

Drink up.

More TOFUZILLA STORYBOARDS

TOFUZILLA Recently.
I've been really busy with school. And I just got a job at an art supply store. But the pay is good. I'm surprised I even got a job in this economy. More storyboards should be finished soon, but this is the only teaser I am giving. I've been waiting for the right time to start the Reanimation. And then complete the series with two more episodes, which will later be combined for a Festival entry, or perhaps DVD booth at Comic Con 2012! Who knows at this point. I hope all of you have a good day!

I am making this graphic novel with the intention of developing an epic anime series one day. Decided at about 8:30am after an all nighter with Samuri Champloo in the background.

So I wanted to work on TOFU4. And I was thinking about how long it would be and where the story would cut for 5, and I decided I wanted to make 4-6 as one movie. Which led me to begin designs for the reanimation of TOFUZILLA, which will include 1-3 and expand on the plot a bit. It will be longer and more fluid and I will probably make the fights a lot more dynamic and take advantage of the cool designs I implemented in the earlier versions. Here are some background designs for the opening scene of the reanimation.

UPDATE: Extra ART.

GRAVITY: NEW CARTOON

Posted by danomano65 - September 26th, 2009

CASEFILE CS118 is a collaboration between several familiar Newgrounds artists, intended to provoke the mind and soil the pants. I will be story boarding and animating this short cartoon for the Halloween movie contest, along with Hans Van Harken, Alix Morle, and Arin Hanson as voice talent. Expect many laughs this October 31st.

Recently I decided to go on a road trip by myself. I drove from Savannah, GA to Atlanta, where I saw the Flaming Lips last Wednesday. That was an excellent performance; one of the most amazing celebrations of human consciousness I have ever witnessed. I proceeded to drive 10 more hours to Conway, AR, where I saw The Dandy Warhols play for free at Hendrix College. Awesome band. Met the lead singer and drummer afterward, and ended up partying with them. The lead singer happens to be releasing a graphic novel in October through Image Comics. I now have his number and email address, so hopefully that will prove to be a useful connection to the comic book industry.

All the while, I had my sketch book with me and began to design an entire culture and planet called VERDACOMB, which I am developing into a graphic novel. There is a sample below. Eventually I would like to push this idea into an animation, perhaps a series or short film. TOFU is still happening as well. I have storyboards on my devArt. My summer has been a very chaotic and beautiful ride. I regret my Power of Three project was lost in the mix. Can't look back.

Here is a larger version.

VERDACOMB Description: [Verdacomb is a tragedy. A romance. An evolutionary tale of love through organic, natural consciousness. These deeply developed characters find unity in death. And the majority of them do. The four tribes find heaven where they are. They love and cherish each other, though there are occasional spells of specism. They each believe everyone has equal right to evolution, thus working together to cultivate the harvest. Each year there is a surplus of extra food. This story is about the sport chosen to decide which species takes the extra food for their nation's continual evolutionary progress.]

Cheers.
